The Quilt and the Painting

Once upon a time, there was a quilt, and a painting.
The quilt was very ornate, although machine sewn, and quite the geometric piece. it was made of many pale right angles, and small squares of red at the heart of each. Now, with a few minutes thought, you could see that all these pale "l"s all came together to form many large, square, diamonds. and these diamonds were all colors of pale browns, pinks, and reds. This quilt of diamonds and pale colors, albeit machine sewn, was obviously much worn by love.
Now, not to forget the painting.
Unlike the quilt, it had many dark corners and recesses in it's contemplative image, and pulled you in to ponder the painted canvasses leaning lazily against the wall. Yet, throughout this dark facade, on a small flimsy table sat a large green, leafy, plant that took up most of the image. Upon further inspection of this contemplative canvas, you would find that this brooding image is not so at all, for it is stretched across the frame of a window!
